New India office and high-level meetings aim to support Indian companies exploring opportunities in Qatar and deepen economic cooperation

Invest Qatar has stepped up its engagement with Indian businesses by undertaking a high-level visit to New Delhi and Mumbai, underscoring efforts to strengthen bilateral investment ties and attract more Indian companies to Qatar.
The delegation, led by Abdulla Al-Emadi, Acting Head of Lead Generation for Asia Markets at Invest Qatar, met corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, investors and technology firms during a week-long visit. Discussions focused on expanding investment cooperation and showcasing Qatar as a gateway for businesses seeking access to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and wider Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
A key outcome of the visit was the announcement of Invest Qatar’s dedicated office in India. The new office, headed by Tanaz Buhariwalla as Director – India, is expected to provide market-entry guidance, regulatory support and aftercare services for Indian companies planning to establish or expand operations in Qatar. The move reflects India’s growing importance in Qatar’s investment strategy and is intended to strengthen long-term business engagement.
During the visit, the delegation held meetings with leading Indian companies, including Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Fractal Analytics, Rossari Biotech, Vilin Bio Med, TiE Mumbai, technology start-ups and investors to explore opportunities across sectors such as technology, manufacturing and innovation.

Investment data also indicates that Indian companies have launched 88 projects in Qatar, generating around US$410 million in capital expenditure and creating more than 3,800 jobs, with a significant share directed towards high- and medium-technology industries
The latest initiative builds on broader efforts by India and Qatar to deepen economic cooperation following the elevation of bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership. Both countries have been working to expand collaboration in trade, investment, technology and infrastructure, reflecting growing confidence in their long-term economic relationship.
