ISG Alumnus recognised for his research in Orthodontics

The open access peer-reviewed chapter- “Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in Orthodontics” was published by Intech Open on Oct 11, 2021. The chapter highlights the bridge between orthodontics and the mechanical branch of engineering.

Nandakishore Rajgopal, an alumnus of Class X batch of 2010 at Indian School Al Ghubra, currently studying at AJ Institute of Dental Sciences at Mangalore in India has authored a chapter in a textbook on Orthodontics under the title ‘Current Trends in Orthodontics’. 

The open access peer-reviewed chapter- “Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in Orthodontics” was published by Intech Open on Oct 11, 2021. The chapter highlights the bridge between orthodontics and the mechanical branch of engineering.

 

Nandakishore had presented his findings in a simple manner to educate the orthodontists how to use this method, making it far more easier for research and case studies for quick and better results, rather than the trial and error method previously being used. 

This would in the long term also help in reducing the time taken for orthodontic treatment.

Dr. Bourzgui has applauded the content quality of that particular chapter. The concerned book is to be published on   January 16, 2022. It is a great achievement for a second year Post Graduate student to co-author a book with Professors and people with doctorate degrees. 

He has collaborated with Dr. Farid Bourzgui, a renowned Professor and PhD scholar from Hassan II College, Morocco. 

Dr. Bourzgui has applauded the content quality of that particular chapter. The concerned book is to be published on   January 16, 2022.

Currently, Nandkishore is working on two other international publications and aiming for a patent

Reminiscing about his days at ISG he said, “I am grateful to my teachers for helping me to develop a firm foundation, especially in Physics which later on immensely helped me in the profession of my choice”. 

“It is with much excitement that I share the success as a tribute to all the members of the faculty who have been instrumental in moulding me during my formative years”, he added
