Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan invited the Pravasi Bharatiya, the Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), for the Indore Summit to be held in the second week of January 2023.
The Global Investors Summit is being held in Indore on January 11 and 12, 2023. Prior to this, there will be a Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan from January 8 to 10, in which NRIs living in more than 80 countries will participate. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the conference and President Draupadi Murmu will attend the closing ceremony of the conference.
“Indore and Madhya Pradesh are eagerly waiting for you,” the Chief Minister at a virtual meeting with the Indore NRI from Jabalpur today. The Chief Minister urged them to visit Indore’s bullion market and 56 shops besides Ujjain and Mandu. A wonderful structure Shri Mahakal Lok has been made in Ujjain. “That’s why, come to Indore and spend some time here,” Chouhan said.
Chouhan said that a target had been set to make India a $5 trillion economy under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Madhya Pradesh would play an important role. “We have set a target of making the state an economy of $550 billion. We will complete this target in the coming 3 years.”
He added that Madhya Pradesh has vast possibilities with favorable conditions for investment. There is ample availability of land, excellent infra-structure, 24×7 electricity and skilled manpower for industries. There are a large number of IITs, IIMs, engineering colleges, polytechnic colleges and ITIs in the state to create skilled manpower. CM Rise schools are started in the state, which will be of world class. Madhya Pradesh is an island of peace. There are pharmaceutical companies located in Indore, who have produced medicines day and night during the COVID period and made them available to the whole world.
The Chief Minister said the NRIs from Indore would be the host and not the guest at the event. “We are waiting for you eagerly. Entire Indore is ready to welcome you. Will talk with you and enjoy the cuisine of Indore,” he said.
