  • Managed by the Dubai Visa Processing Centre (DVPC), the new initiative aims to streamline the arrival process, allowing Emirates customers to bypass queues upon arrival in Dubai

Indian passport holders planning to visit Dubai now need to apply online for a pre-approved visa-on-arrival. This service is available exclusively to those with a valid US, US Green Card, EU Residency, or UK Residency visa, each valid for at least six months.

Previously eligible for a 14-day visa-on-arrival, Indian nationals must now complete the application process online. The initial visa can be extended for an additional 14 days, but this extension is allowed only once.

The Dubai General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) mandates applicants to possess a valid passport, necessary travel documents, a permanent residence card from the USA or UK, and a personal photo.

To apply for the pre-approved visa-on-arrival, travelers should:

  1. Log in to the GDRFA website.
  2. Complete the required details.
  3. Pay a fee of 253 Dirhams.
  4. Await an email notification confirming approval, typically received within 48 hours.
