NRI congregation ‘NRI milni’ kicks off in Amritsar

NRI Punjabis can share their complaints in person or through online mode

The Punjab Government has resolved to address the issues of the NRIs from Punjab on a priority basis. For this, district wise government supported ‘NRI Punjabian nal milni’ programme is happening in most parts of the state.

The government representatives are taking note of the problems being faced by the NRIs from Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Pathankot and Tarn Taran districts and making documentation to resolve them on priority basis.

The Punjab government will conduct meetings of NRI Punjabis twice every year, in the months of December and April

Tribune India quoted Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Punjab’s NRIs Affairs Minister, who said that the NRI Punjabis could share their complaints in person or through on line mode and they would be resolved at district level.

The Punjab Government, according to Dhaliwal is preparing a special policy to resolve all problems of NRI Punjabis related to social, financial and cultural in a time-bound manner.

He said in order to listen to the problems of NRI Punjabis and resolve them, the Punjab government would conduct such meetings twice every year, in the months of December and April.
