Indian community members gathered with the Indian national flag against the pro-Khalistan protest rally in Toronto, Canada. This stymied the separatists move to attract the attention of the world.

On the other hand, Indian supporters reached the spot in large numbers and supported India with full enthusiasm. Only a small number of Khalistan supporters could gather outside the Indian Consulate in Toronto. Compared to them, the number of pro-India Indian community people was very high.
At the same time, on the posters threatening Indian diplomats in Canada, Britain and elsewhere, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the security of Indian diplomats and missions was of utmost importance to the government
Supporters of India waved the national flag and raised slogans like ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, ‘VandeMataram’ and ‘Jai Hind’. The Khalistani group had posters of Sikhs for Justice leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was murdered in Britain on June 18. Earlier this month, posters of the ‘Khalistan Freedom Rally’ referred to India’s High Commissioner in Ottawa Sanjay Kumar Verma and Consul General in Toronto Apoorva Srivastava as the ‘murderers’ of Khalistan Tiger Force chief Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
As for the activities of pro-Khalistan elements in Canada, the Ministry of External Affairs said that no space should be given to extremist, terrorist elements in the name of freedom of expression. At the same time, on the posters threatening Indian diplomats in Canada, Britain and elsewhere, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the security of Indian diplomats and missions was of utmost importance to the government.
