A Dubai-bound Air India flight from Delhi turned chaotic on Sunday as frustrated passengers confronted airline crew over prolonged delays caused by technical issues. Flight AI 2205, initially scheduled for a 5 PM departure, remained grounded for hours, sparking heated exchanges and eventually resulting in all passengers being deplaned, reported news18.com.

Power outage, multiple delays spark anger on board air india flight to dubai.

Passengers were left in the dark—literally—for over 90 minutes due to a power failure caused by a technical malfunction. The absence of electricity on board intensified discomfort, and tensions escalated as the wait extended. While the crew distributed water and snacks in an attempt to manage the situation, the pilot’s later announcement of another delay due to a failure in the external power source further aggravated travellers.

With some passengers reporting feelings of claustrophobia and safety concerns, the airline ultimately deplaned all passengers, possibly for later reboarding. Before this, the crew was forced to re-conduct hand baggage checks after resolving the initial technical glitch

In a separate incident, an Air India Delhi-Patna flight also faced criticism after passengers were made to sit inside an aircraft with a non-functional air conditioning system for an extended period. A video shot by Rashtriya Janata Dal MLA Rishi Mishra shows passengers using in-flight magazines as makeshift fans. The footage has gone viral, highlighting ongoing passenger dissatisfaction with the airline.
