The Rajasthan Association of North America (RANA) has witnessed a seamless transition in leadership as it gears up for the 2023-25 term. The unanimous decision of the organization’s members reaffirms the confidence in the re-elected President, Prem Bhandari, a prominent New York-based entrepreneur, philanthropist, and social activist.

Beyond the boardroom, Bhandari has carved a niche for himself as a dedicated champion for social causes. His contributions extend from aiding differently-abled individuals through Jaipur Foot USA to distributing oxygen concentrators in India during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Recognized as the “Community Leader of the Year” in 2021, Bhandari’s global impact is underscored by prestigious awards like the “Yog Ratan” in London and his role as the founding director of a yoga-dedicated university.

The newly formed executive committee, comprising Dr. Sharad Kothari as Vice President, Ravi Jargad as Secretary, and Neelam Modi as Treasurer, reflects a harmonious blend of experience and vision. The unanimous support for the team, highlighted by the election committee, sets a promising tone for the organization’s future endeavors.

As RANA moves forward, the re-elected leadership envisions a future marked by continued commitment to social causes and deeper engagement with the global Rajasthani community

President Bhandari, looking forward to RANA’s 25th-anniversary celebrations, has unveiled plans for a global convention next year. Known for hosting international conventions graced by eminent personalities like former Rajasthan Chief Ministers Ashok Gehlot and Vasundhara Raje, RANA remains committed to fostering connections between Rajasthan and its diaspora.

Under Bhandari’s leadership, RANA has taken strides in promoting Rajasthani cultural heritage throughout the United States. Notably, the organization led the Millets awareness campaign internationally, aligning with the International Year of Millets (IYM). The newly elected leadership aims to build upon this momentum, advocating for the preservation of Rajasthani cultural heritage and strengthening ties with the vibrant Rajasthani community in North America.

President Bhandari’s multifaceted roles, including Chairman of Jaipur Foot USA and head of the US chapter of REDIO—Rescuing Every Distressed Indian Overseas, demonstrate a commitment to global impact. His collaboration with Harsh Vardhan Shringla for events such as the Jodhpur Millets Festival underscores the leadership’s dedication to impactful initiatives. As RANA moves forward, the re-elected leadership envisions a future marked by continued commitment to social causes and deeper engagement with the global Rajasthani community.
