Vigilance officials in Ludhiana have arrested Gurjot Singh, a property dealer, for his alleged role in the creation of a fake sale deed involving NRI Deep Singh. This marks the ninth arrest in the case, with eight others already named as accused, reported timesofindia.indiatimes.com.

Gurjot Singh’s arrest follows that of an advocate, and more individuals are implicated in the fraud.

Gurjot Singh, who ran a real estate agency called ‘Land Mark Real Estate’ along with another accused, Raghbir Singh, was arrested by DSP VB (range II) in the Sidhwan Bet police station area on Wednesday. He was later produced in court and sent to one-day police remand. Previous arrests in the case include advocate Gurcharan Singh Marwaha, who allegedly facilitated the registration of the fraudulent land sale. The case involves several other individuals, including tehsildar Jagsir Singh Saran, buyer Deepak Goel, nambardar Baghel Singh, registry clerk Krishan Gopal, Amit Gaur, the fake Deep Singh, and a computer operator.
