Currently serving as India’s Ambassador to Guatemala, Singh will also represent India in El Salvador
The Government of India has announced the concurrent accreditation of Raj Kumar Singh (IFS: 1996) as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of El Salvador. Singh presently serves as the Ambassador of India to the Republic of Guatemala and will continue to be based in Guatemala City.
Raj Kumar Singh, a 1996-batch Indian Foreign Service officer, will take on additional responsibilities as India strengthens its diplomatic outreach in Central America.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, Singh is expected to assume his new responsibilities shortly. His concurrent accreditation aligns with India’s broader diplomatic approach to enhance regional cooperation and strengthen political, economic, and cultural ties with Central American nations.
Singh’s appointment comes amid India’s ongoing efforts to deepen engagement with Latin America through shared initiatives in trade, development partnership, and multilateral cooperation.
