Expressing her gratitude, Arathi said, “I love being here. I would like to express my sincere regards for inviting me to the inaugural ceremony of Luxe Haven boutique. It was a wonderful experience, and I truly appreciated being a part of it.”
Salalah, with its verdant landscapes and cultural richness, recently welcomed a new visitor whose artistic vision and entrepreneurial zeal have left an indelible mark.
Arathi Padath Sajeesh, known as Arathi Podi is an artist, designer, and entrepreneur. She graced the city with her presence during the launch of a new boutique, Luxe Haven in Salalah.
Luxe Haven was born from a shared dream between Siby and Calista, two young, talented and ambitious women. On December 23, 2024, after months of planning and dedication, they officially launched Luxe Haven in Salalah, Oman. Despite being a homegrown brand, Luxe Haven’s aspirations extend far beyond the GCC through their online platform.
Visiting Oman for the first time, Arathi was captivated by Salalah’s allure as a tourist destination. “Salalah is a popular tourist destination known for its lush greenery, beautiful beaches, historical sites, and the famous frankincense trade,” she remarked. For her, the city offered a harmonious blend of natural beauty and cultural vibrancy, making it an ideal place for exploration and inspiration.
As an artist, designer, and entrepreneur, Arathi seamlessly juggles these three distinct roles. “Balancing these roles requires effective time management, clear priorities, and delegation,” she explained. Though her journey into acting was serendipitous, it added a new dimension to her multifaceted career. “I never planned to be an actress; I entered the film industry purely by accident,” she revealed. Despite the challenges, her passion for design and entrepreneurship remains unwavering.
A Budding Film Career
Arathi’s foray into the film industry includes four movies across different languages. Her debut, a small role in the Malayalam film ‘Asokante Adyarathri’, was followed by more significant roles in the Telugu movie ‘Narayana and Co.’ and the Tamil film ‘Ripupbury’. While her Kannada film is yet to release, these ventures have brought her unexpected recognition, further enriching her journey.
A Designer at Heart
From her teenage years, Arathi’s dream was clear: To create her own brand. Specializing in bridal wear, she finds immense joy in designing for brides, crafting dresses that make their special day even more memorable. “I love colors and different shades,” she shared, emphasizing her passion for creativity. Luxe Haven is a testament to her dedication, blending traditional artistry with modern elegance.
Oman: A Destination for Dreams
Arathi’s vision extends beyond fashion. She sees Oman as a promising destination for both tourism and destination weddings. “Oman provides a perfect backdrop for unforgettable wedding experiences,” she observed. The country’s natural beauty and rich culture offer unique opportunities for celebration and artistic expression. Additionally, Salalah’s serene landscapes inspire her as a potential location for film shoots and cultural activities.
Journey of Growth
Arathi’s path to success was paved with determination and a thirst for independence. Starting as a freelance designer, she honed her skills before venturing into entrepreneurship. Her stint in films was a strategic move to expand her brand’s reach. “The growth has been slow but interesting,” she admitted, embodying resilience and adaptability.
Cultural Reflections
Comparing Salalah to her native Kerala, Arathi noted both similarities and contrasts. “Salalah has more Arabian influence in its culture and architecture, while Kerala has a tropical vibe with a lively lifestyle,” she observed. Yet, both regions resonate with their natural beauty and cultural depth, offering unique experiences to visitors and residents alike.
A Future Full of Possibilities
Content with her current endeavors, Arathi remains open to new opportunities. “I believe in growth and finding joy in new experiences,” she stated, hinting at an ever-evolving journey. Her primary inspiration lies in her desire to be independent and create a legacy, encouraging women to seize the opportunities available today.
