Swami Vivekanand Cultural Centre in Myanmar, Indian Embassy Commemorate World Hindi Day

The Swami Vivekanand Cultural Centre (SVCC) in Yangon, Myanmar, joined hands with the Indian Embassy to fervently celebrate World Hindi Day. This vibrant event, hosted at the India Centre in Yangon, was graced by the esteemed presence of Vinay Kumar, Indian Ambassador to Myanmar, who presided the event as the chief guest.

The occasion served as a splendid testament to the rich cultural legacy and linguistic diversity encapsulated within the Hindi language. It underscored the profound significance of Hindi, both at the national and international levels.

FOLLOWING WERE THE EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:

Inaugural Address: Ambassador Vinay Kumar delivered a thought-provoking address, underscoring the profound importance of the Hindi language in India and its contemporary relevance on a global scale.

Promotion of Hindi Literature: Ashish Kandhawe, Director of SVCC Yangon, Myanmar, illuminated the cultural and literary significance of Hindi. His remarks shed light on the indelible influence of Hindi literature on the mosaic of India’s cultural heritage.

Poetry Recitation: Roli Jain, a distinguished participant, shared a Hindi poem that exalted the language’s beauty and depth, captivating the audience’s hearts.

A poignant moment of the event was dedicated to expressing solidarity and reverence for the gallant personnel of the Indian Army and Jammu & Kashmir police, who made supreme sacrifices in recent encounters with terrorists

Creative Competitions: SVCC organised an array of engaging competitions, encompassing Hindi poetry, essays, and stories. The event recognized and rewarded the victors with prizes, while all participants received certificates of participation, nurturing a burgeoning affection for Hindi literature and artistic expression.

 

Community Engagement: The event witnessed fervent participation from over 100 individuals, a testament to the profound interest in Hindi language and culture among the attendees.
