The establishment of the consulate addresses the longstanding advocacy from groups such as the Hyderabad-based Emigrants Welfare Forum, which has championed the need for such a mission to facilitate the seamless travel of hundreds of thousands of Indians to the UAE from the region.
Political analyst Mir Ayoob Khan highlighted the cultural and economic ties between the UAE and Hyderabad, emphasizing the city’s status as an IT hub and its robust business links with the Gulf nation.
