Dubai, UAE: The UAE-based NAFFCO FZCO, the world’s leading producers and suppliers of top-tier firewall systems / equipment, and safetyy engineering systems worldwide, announced a tie-up with Arcserve UDP 9000 Series Appliances to boost productivity and create seamless application performance on Friday, November 11

Arcserve is the world’s most experienced provider of backup, recovery and storage solutions for unified data resilience against ransomware and other digital disasters .

To secure its critical digital assets, modernise operations and further strengthen its data resilience, NAFFCO needed a new data protection solution that was cost-effective, scalable and flexible with integrated cyber-security features. And Arcserve fit the bill perfectly.

Working closely with Arcserve’s local partner Gerab, the Arcserve Appliances 9360DR and 9096DR were deployed in the organisation’s Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices to protect NAFFCO’s 45 physical servers and 100 virtual machines and streamline the organisation’s IT environment.

Mohannad Hennawi, Group IT Manager at NAFFCO FZCO, speaking about the tie-up said: “The solutions have helped increase productivity by 100 per cent, led to 50 per cent more seamless application performance and yielded 50 per cent savings in the cost of operations.

“Arcserve Appliances are easy to manage and come loaded with features, the most important being full cyber security protection against ransomware. The management interface is extremely simple to understand and easy to use,” he added

According to a recent study, loss of critical data continues to disrupt businesses and remains an issue for organisations. In a research study on experiences and attitudes of IT decision-makers, 76% of respondents reported a severe loss of critical data in their organisations. Out of this 45% reported permanent loss of data.

Florian Malecki, executive vice president of marketing at Arcserve observed that “In an increasingly digital world, the onus is on organisations to ensure optimum data resilience and robust business continuity processes against complex ransomware attacks.

“Businesses like NAFFCO FZCO continue to demonstrate the importance of integrated data backup, recovery and cyber security appliances to strengthen their overall data resilience,” he added
