The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced a staggering reward of up to ₹2.1 crore for any information leading to the arrest of Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel, a fugitive on the FBI’s ten most wanted list. Patel stands accused of the brutal killing of his wife, Palak, while they were both employed at a Dunkin’ Donuts in Hanover, Maryland, back in 2015, as reported by ndtv.com.
The FBI’s official notice regarding the reward stated, “The #FBI offers a reward of up to $250,000 for info leading to the arrest of Ten Most Wanted Fugitive Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel, wanted for allegedly killing his wife while they were working at a doughnut shop in Hanover, Maryland, on April 12, 2015.”
Chetanbhai Patel allegedly carried out the heinous act by attacking his wife with a kitchen knife in the shop’s backroom, inflicting multiple stab wounds upon her. The gruesome incident unfolded during a night shift amidst the presence of customers, with the entire episode captured on the establishment’s CCTV system. The footage depicted Patel, then 24 years old, and his wife heading towards the kitchen area before disappearing from view.

Gordon B Johnson, the Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Baltimore Field Office, emphasized the severity of Patel’s alleged crimes, stating, “The extremely violent nature of the crimes allegedly committed by Bhadreshkumar Patel earned him a place on the FBI’s Top Ten List.”
Johnson further iterated the FBI’s unwavering commitment to bringing Patel to justice, asserting, “The ongoing efforts of our investigators, coupled with the public’s assistance, will lead to the capture of Bhadreshkumar Patel. We will never forget, and will not rest until he is located, captured and brought to justice.”
