A Vadodara man has been accused of harassing his wife, who currently resides in the US, according to a complaint filed by her father. The woman, originally from Chhani, Vadodara, married the man despite her father’s disapproval. After the marriage, her husband allegedly subjected her to both physical and emotional abuse.

  • In an attempt to appease him, the woman sent her husband $6,000, along with branded shoes and an iPhone, hoping to end the harassment

  • However, her husband allegedly continued his abusive behavior, using 180-200 fake social media accounts to send offensive messages

  • The father has provided screenshots of these messages as evidence

Seeking to escape the abuse, the woman filed for divorce and moved to the US to continue her studies. However, she informed her father via email that her husband continued to harass and threaten her through social media. The threats reportedly escalated to death threats.
