The Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas-2025 was inaugurated today at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar by External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi,reported sambadenglish.com.
A Platform for Indian Diaspora Engagement
The inauguration ceremony took place at the Main Plenary Hall, where the ministers and the Chief Minister lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the occasion.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention tomorrow.
The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is a flagship event by the Government of India aimed at connecting with the Indian diaspora and facilitating their interaction. The 18th edition of the convention, which runs from January 8 to 10, carries the theme “Diaspora’s Contribution to a Viksit Bharat”.
A significant number of participants from over 50 countries have registered to attend the convention.
