An Indian man, Chimalakonda Krishna, has struck gold by winning $1 million in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Promotion. The draw, which took place at Dubai International Airport on Wednesday, marked Krishna as the 230th Indian national to claim this prestigious prize since the promotion’s inception in 1999.

Krishna’s triumph wasn’t the only highlight of the event. Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, the Finest Surprise draw unfolded, offering three luxurious vehicles to the lucky winners.

Henry Paul, a 55-year-old Indian national residing in Dubai, was the fortunate winner of a Mercedes Benz S 500 car. Paul, who has lived in Dubai since 1999 and has been participating in the Dubai Duty Free promotion for 15 years, expressed his joy and persistent optimism. As a general manager for a multinational company in the medical industry and a father of two, Paul said, “I’ve been buying tickets for a long time, but I never lose hope. I knew one day I’d be lucky – and that is now.”

Another notable winner, Emirati national Ebrahim Al Nuaimi, won a Mercedes Benz G 63 car. Although he was not available for immediate comment, his win added to the excitement of the event.

Additionally, Ajasmon K.S., a 36-year-old Indian national based in Sharjah, won an Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory 1100 motorbike. K.S., a sales executive in the cleaning and hygiene industry in Ajman and a father of one, has been a regular participant in the promotion for five years. He remarked, “The money that I will get when I sell this bike is very helpful for my family as we start to build our future in Kerala.”
