The quiz continues to serve as a bridge, strengthening bonds between India and its global community by fostering curiosity and pride in India’s cultural and historical heritage
Dr. S. Jaishankar, India’s External Affairs Minister, launched the 5th Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz today through a virtual platform. Initiated in 2015, this quiz reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to connect with the Indian diaspora, as he highlighted during the 13th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas celebrations. Since its inception, the Ministry of External Affairs has successfully conducted four editions of the quiz in 2015, 2018, 2020, and 2022, fostering deeper ties with Indians worldwide.
These top scorers will receive a unique opportunity to embark on the Bharat Ko Janiye Yatra (Know India Tour), an immersive, two-week journey to explore India. Additionally, the winners will attend the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, scheduled from January 8 to 10, 2025, in Bhubaneswar
The Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz aims to engage young members of the Indian diaspora, along with foreigners interested in learning about India. Designed to increase understanding of India’s rich history, culture, contributions to the world, and its path of development, the quiz highlights India’s journey as a nation.
The 5th edition, hosted online at www.bkjquiz.com, runs from November 11, 2024, to December 11, 2024, and invites participants in two categories: Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin/Foreign nationals. Participants aged between 14 and 50 years can compete to secure a place among the top 30 scorers, with 15 winners from each category.
