Bhubaneswar (Odisha), January 15, 2025: The 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas organized by the Government of India in Bhubaneswar recently, highlighted the profound contributions of the Indian diaspora to both India’s growth and its international impact. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the event, which attracted a large audience, providing a grand platform for showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage and global connections, reported tribuneindia.com.
“Vishwaroop Ram” exhibition draws attention with its global reach and immersive storytelling
The “Vishwaroop Ram” exhibition, curated by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), stood out at the event. It explored the far-reaching influence of the Story of Lord Ram across more than 20 countries, showcasing artifacts and cultural representations from places such as Cambodia, Thailand, Nepal, Fiji, Mexico, and Indonesia. The exhibition captivated visitors with its blend of physical and digital experiences, offering an engaging and immersive look into Ramayana’s timeless significance.
Balancing tradition with technology, the exhibition was widely praised for its curatorial depth
The exhibition was co-curated and executed by Splat, a Delhi-based new media design agency known for its cutting-edge immersive experiences. PM Modi, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, President Draupadi Murmu, and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat all praised the exhibition for showcasing India’s cultural footprint worldwide. Nandini K Singla, Director General of ICCR, commended the design, calling it a benchmark for future exhibitions. Splat’s innovative design brought ICCR’s vision to life, with the exhibit becoming the most visited at the event.
Hitesh Kumar, Founder and Creative Director of Splat, shared his thoughts: “It was a combination of thoughtful design, storytelling, great teamwork, and remarkable support from ICCR, making it an emotionally and intellectually invigorating experience.”
