A US-based Indian techie was among those tragically killed in the recent terror attack at Pahalgam, Kashmir, which has shaken the nation and drawn global condemnation.

His family, grieving the sudden loss, recalled their final conversation with him just hours before the tragedy, reported gujaratsamachar.com.

The attack, which also claimed the lives of two foreign nationals, has sparked widespread outrage across India and abroad.

“My younger brother had promised that once he returned from Kashmir, we would plan a longer trip together. We didn’t know it would be our last conversation,” said the techie’s elder brother, struggling to hold back tears.

In response to the attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was on an official visit to Saudi Arabia, immediately cut short his trip and returned to India. Union Home Minister Amit Shah rushed to Srinagar and conducted a series of meetings with Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to assess the situation and oversee the security response.

Security forces launch intensive search operations across the region in hunt for perpetrators.

Meanwhile, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reached out to the grieving family, assuring them of all possible support during this difficult time. Across the valley, security forces have intensified search operations to track down those responsible for the brutal attack, while the entire nation mourns yet another tragic loss to terrorism.
