Strategic partnership with dnata to enhance Air India and Air India Express operations across the UAE
Air India and Air India Express have entered a landmark partnership with ‘dnata’, appointing the UAE-based travel services provider as their General Sales Agent (GSA) and Representative Agency (RA) respectively.
The agreement was signed during the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 in Dubai, reinforcing the Air India group’s commitment to expanding its footprint and customer engagement across the UAE, reported asianaviation.com.
‘dnata’ to provide sales and distribution
As part of the deal, dnata will manage the sales, marketing, and distribution operations for Air India (excluding Abu Dhabi and Al Ain) and Air India Express across the UAE. This regional strategy is designed to improve access for travellers and travel partners, while supporting the group’s long-term growth ambitions in one of its most vital international markets.
UAE remains top international market for AI Express
Air India currently operates 82 weekly flights between India and the UAE, while Air India Express runs over 240 flights weekly, connecting five major cities in the UAE—
Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah—with multiple destinations in India. The UAE is thelargest international market for Air India Express, serving a vast Indian expatriate population and a high volume of leisure and business travellers.
