Foreign nationals and NRI applicants get more time; concessional fee benefits continue for SAARC and underdeveloped countries
The Panjab University (PU) has extended the deadline for submission of admission applications for foreign nationals and non-resident Indian (NRI) students to September 10. The extension applies to all seats except those in Dental Sciences, BA/BCom LLB, MBA courses, and other programmes governed by regulatory bodies, reported hindustantimes.com.
Applicants must submit their duly filled and scanned admission forms along with required supporting documents in PDF format to the Dean, International Students, via the official email: dis@pu.ac.in.
The annual fee for NRI and foreign national students ranges between USD 1,425 and USD 6,000, with concessional rates for students from SAARC and underdeveloped countries
To support global education diversity, PU has created 25% supernumerary seats in each undergraduate and postgraduate programme for international students. In addition, 10% seats are reserved for NRIs and their wards, except in courses regulated by statutory bodies. Students from underdeveloped countries are eligible for a 50% fee concession, strengthening accessibility and inclusivity.
The move reflects PU’s commitment to attracting international students and expanding cultural and educational exchange. With the extension, aspiring foreign and NRI candidates have more time to secure admissions for the upcoming academic session.
