Over 100 young leaders from India, ASEAN nations, and Timor Leste come together to strengthen regional cooperation
The 5th edition of the ASEAN-India Youth Summit was held in Goa from 28–31 August 2025, jointly organised by the Ministry of External Affairs, the India Foundation, and the ASEAN Foundation, with support from the Government of Goa. Themed “Connecting the Youth: Shaping our Future”, the summit highlighted the role of young leaders in advancing the shared vision of India and ASEAN.
Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Pabitra Margherita, inaugurated the summit on 28 August 2025, emphasizing India and ASEAN’s shared values and urging youth leaders to contribute to ASEAN Community Vision 2045 and the sankalp of Viksit Bharat in the Asian Century.

The Youth Summit served as a platform to strengthen regional cooperation, encourage dialogue, and foster partnerships among emerging leaders. The exchanges are expected to create sustainable networks that will contribute to shaping the future of ASEAN–India relations.
