At Dubai’s South Indian Business Achievers Awards, Telangana minister highlights state’s rapid growth and global investment potential
Telangana Minister for IT and Industries, D. Sridhar Babu, on Friday, September 5, extended a call to Gulf-based entrepreneurs and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) to invest in what he described as “Rising Telangana, reported siasat.com.”
Highlighting the state’s economic performance, the minister said Telangana has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing states, contributing more than 5 percent to the national GDP despite its smaller geographical size. He noted that Telangana recorded a GSDP growth rate of 8.2 percent in FY 2024–25, with investments worth ₹3.28 lakh crore flowing into life sciences, EVs, aerospace, AI, logistics, and renewable energy sectors.
Speaking at the South Indian Business Achievers Awards (SIBA) in Dubai, Sridhar Babu showcased Telangana as a hub for innovation, industry, and global partnerships
“UAE investors have already committed over ₹2,000 crore to Telangana. For us, investors are not just business partners but stakeholders in our development journey,” Sridhar Babu said.
He assured that the state government would provide full support to global entrepreneurs and NRIs, ensuring a smooth investment process while strengthening Telangana’s position as a global industrial hub.
