- Transforms immigration management
- Priyanka Kulkarni’s Casium uses artificial intelligence to modernize and automate the complex US employment visa system
An Indian-origin machine learning scientist, Priyanka Kulkarni, has built an AI-powered platform that promises to revolutionize the US employment visa process, helping both companies and foreign professionals navigate immigration more efficiently, reported gujaratsamachar.com.
Kulkarni, 34, who spent nine years living in the US on a visa, launched Casium, an artificial intelligence–driven startup that simplifies employment-based immigration management. The platform offers a digital dashboard where employers can manage visa applications, compliance, and legal processes—all in one place—reducing dependency on expensive law firms and outdated manual tools.
AI-driven platform replaces outdated systems and reduces visa processing costs for US employers
According to a Business Insider report, Casium is designed to adapt quickly to changing immigration policies, including past measures like the Trump-era executive order that imposed a $100,000 fee per new H-1B visa application, a policy later challenged by business groups and the US Chamber of Commerce.
AI startup backed by major investors after early success
Since its founding in 2024, Casium has already assisted hundreds of users, achieving high approval rates across assessments, compliance checks, and filings. Its innovative approach has attracted significant investor confidence—securing $5 million in seed funding led by Maverick Ventures, with additional backing from AI2 Incubator, GTMfund, Success Venture Partners, and angel investor Jake Heller, founder of Casetext, which was acquired by Thomson Reuters in 2023.
Kulkarni’s mission is to make immigration more transparent, affordable, and data-driven, offering a much-needed modernization of the US visa landscape for global talent.
