The event concluded with the PMFAI-SML Annual Agchem Awards 2026, recognising excellence, innovation and leadership across the Indian agrochemical sector
The 23rd edition of the International Crop Science Conference & Exhibition (ICSCE Dubai 2026), organised by the PMFAI Agribusiness Foundation, was held on January 19 and 20, 2026, at Le Meridien Hotel & Conference Centre in Dubai.
The two-day event brought together global leaders from the agrochemical, agri-biological and allied chemical sectors to discuss market trends, sourcing opportunities and future strategies.
ICSCE marked a new chapter under the PMFAI Agribusiness Foundation, established in 2023, reinforcing its long-standing mission of supporting innovation, sustainability and global partnerships in agriculture
In his inaugural address, PMFAI President Pradip Dave reflected on the journey of ICSCE since its launch in Mumbai in 1997. He noted that despite challenges faced by the agri-input industry in recent years, demand revival and inventory correction have restored momentum. He also highlighted India’s position as the world’s fourth-largest agrochemical producer and second-largest exporter, serving more than 160 countries.
The exhibition saw strong participation, with 117 companies showcasing crop protection products, biologicals, biostimulants and digital solutions. Over 1,200 delegates from more than 43 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, the Americas and the Middle East attended, making it one of the most diverse editions to date.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr Shaza Roshdy Omar of the International Plant Protection Convention, Egypt. She stressed the importance of strong plant health systems, early detection and harmonised standards in ensuring food security and sustainable agriculture, especially in developing nations.
The conference featured expert sessions on global supply chains, nutrient efficiency, biopesticides, innovation, digitisation and regulatory challenges. A special roundtable discussion highlighted the role of next-generation leaders in shaping the future of the agrochemical industry.
