Maneesh Media’s Jewels of India profiles 70 overseas leaders

India’s federal Minister for Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat praised Indians living abroad as “living legacies” whose success stories testify their perseverance and achievements.

The minister made the remarks at an event held at The Ashok in New Delhi to launch the book Jewels of India — Bharat ki Shaan, Bharat ka Abhiman which celebrates success stories of Indians abroad.
The book, published by Jaipur-based Maneesh Media publishing house, profiles 70 Indian diaspora leaders from North America, Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
Besides chief guest Minister Shekhawat, former High Commissioner of India to Canada and former UPSC Member Sanjay Kumar Verma; Chairman of Process Research Ortech Inc Dr Vaikuntam Iyer Lakshmanan; Brandswork Technologies Founder Ishwar Kumhar, and the Directors of Maneesh Media – Maneesh, Abhishek, and Siddharth Kumawat attended the book launch.
Maneesh Media Director Manish Kumawat says the book highlights the stories of overseas Indians who continue to contribute to their adopted countries while maintaining strong ties with India. He describes the book as “a heartfelt tribute to Indians across the world who continue to make the nation proud.”
The book profiles professionals in medicine, business, academia, technology, philanthropy and community leadership.
Honourees from the United States include physicians, entrepreneurs and industry figures across Washington DC, Texas, California, Florida, Illinois, New York, Georgia, Arkansas and Nevada.
Canadian profiles span British Columbia, Ontario and Saskatchewan, featuring contributors in battery technology, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, defence science and higher education.
The book features diaspora leaders from Thailand, the UAE, Kenya, Uganda, Oman, Zambia and Ghana.

The engaging book encapsulates the diaspora’s role in commerce, healthcare, education and social development.
Founded in 1999 by Chandmal Kumawat, Maneesh Media has published more than 70 books featuring achievements of elite Indian families across 40 countries and has expanded publishing business to the United States and Canada
