Four expatriates win Dh25,000 each in the third weekly e-draw of September
Four expatriates from India and Bangladesh have each won Dh25,000 in the third weekly Big Ticket e-draw for September, taking the total prize money shared among the winners to Dh100,000. The winners include a machine operator, painter, sales executive and driver.
Among the winners was 41-year-old Ayyalu Samy from Tamil Nadu, who has worked in the UAE for 15 years. He bought the winning ticket on his own and selected the number randomly. Samy said he plans to use his prize money for his family in India.
Abul Bashar, a 56-year-old painter from Bangladesh, has lived in Sharjah for 34 years. He participates in the draw with a group of 20 friends after being introduced to Big Ticket by his brother.
Bashar said his share would be sent to his family in Bangladesh, while he also plans to set aside some of the money for charity. The group will divide the prize among its members.
Another Bangladeshi winner, 38-year-old Mohammed Shahadat Hussain, works as a sales executive and has lived in Abu Dhabi for 16 years. He joined 13 friends for the winning entry after selecting a number without any particular plan.
Hussain said he intends to send his share to Bangladesh and continue participating in future draws.
The latest draw highlights the participation of expatriate communities from across the Gulf, with the winners planning to use their prize money for families, personal needs and charitable purposes
The fourth winner, 30-year-old Eldho Mathew from Kerala, has been living and working in Kuwait for eight years. He entered the draw with a group of 25 people after friends introduced him to Big Ticket.
Mathew said the win was particularly significant because the prize would be shared by the entire group. He has not yet decided how he will use his share but said he plans to participate again.
