The author’s new book explores healthy relationships, emotional awareness and the importance of maintaining personal identity
Indian-Australian author and women’s empowerment advocate Harvinder ‘Siya’ Jain launched her second book at the House of Commons in the UK Parliament, where she also received a Certificate of Excellence for her work on women’s empowerment and relationship education.
The launch of Relationship Intelligence Advantage: The Power to Love Without Losing Yourself was attended by around 150 guests representing multicultural communities. Jain received the certificate from World Book of Records (London) in recognition of her contributions to women’s empowerment, the prevention of family and sexual violence, and relationship intelligence education.
During the event, Jain presented copies of her books to British MP Bob Blackman. The ceremony also recognised 25 enforcement officers for their service.
Addressing the gathering, Jain spoke about personal experiences and relationship challenges that had influenced her writing. Her latest book focuses on understanding human behaviour, managing conflict and developing healthier relationships without compromising individual identity.
“While human dignity is unconditional, relational positioning of any person should not be unconditional in our life,” Jain said, outlining the central idea behind her work.
