Candidates seeking postgraduate medical seats under the NRI quota must check their eligibility status and meet the prescribed document verification requirements
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the list of candidates eligible for the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) quota in Round 1 of NEET-PG counselling for the 2026–27 academic session.
The list, dated October 21, is available on the MCC’s official postgraduate medical counselling website. It is intended for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate medical courses under the NRI category.
The publication of the list is an important step in the counselling process for candidates who have applied for NRI status or sought conversion from the Indian category to the NRI category. However, inclusion in the list does not guarantee admission or allotment of a seat. Candidates must still participate in counselling, exercise their choices and meet the applicable admission requirements.
The MCC had earlier issued a corrigendum on October 14 clarifying the documents required for NRI quota claims. Candidates in Category I and Category IV must submit a valid passport belonging to the relevant parent, real brother, real sister or sponsor, as applicable, in addition to the other prescribed documents. The requirements apply during registration and verification.
