For passengers like Patel, the uncertainty has turned a routine journey into a long and anxious wait
Actor Ameesha Patel has described a tense and exhausting journey after her flight from New York to Mumbai was diverted due to fresh missile attacks in the Middle East. The aircraft, which was due to land in Dubai, was rerouted to Muscat when authorities shut airspace across the United Arab Emirates.
Patel shared updates on social media, saying passengers were left waiting for further instructions after the sudden diversion. She later posted that more than 24 hours had passed since leaving New York, with travellers still stranded and uncertain about when they would reach Mumbai. The actor was travelling with DJ Chetas and producer Kunal Goomer at the time.

Emirati officials stated that air defence systems intercepted multiple threats, although some damage was reported on the ground
These latest attacks signal a sharp rise in tensions linked to the ongoing conflict between Iran and the United States, despite a brief lull earlier this month following a ceasefire. The situation has raised fresh concerns about regional stability and the safety of international travel routes.
Airlines continue to monitor developments closely, with delays and diversions expected as security risks remain high.
