AP NEET UG 2026: 11 Candidates Declared Ineligible for NRI Management Quota Seats

NTR University cites document verification issues as Andhra Pradesh moves into the second phase of Management Quota counselling

Dr N.T.R. University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) has declared 11 candidates ineligible for NRI category seats under the Management Quota for MBBS and BDS admissions for the 2026-27 academic year in Andhra Pradesh.

The university published the list on October 2 following verification of documents submitted by candidates who applied under the NRI category in response to its September 13 notification. The affected applications were found not to meet the document requirements during the verification process.

The latest notice specifically concerns candidates who applied only for NRI category seats. NTRUHS has stated that those listed are not eligible for the B1 and B2 Management Quota categories under the relevant application. The university’s notification does not, however, suggest that their NEET qualification itself has been cancelled or that they are barred from counselling in other states.

The development follows a wider document-verification exercise for NRI Management Quota admissions. Earlier, NTRUHS identified candidates whose applications required additional documents or re-uploading, while a provisional merit list of 178 candidates found eligible for NRI category seats was also released.

  • The university has now opened the second phase of Management Quota counselling, with web options available for eligible B1, B2 and NRI candidates

  • Its official admissions portal lists the Phase-II web-options notification dated October 2

Candidates named in the ineligible list should check their registration details and contact NTRUHS for clarification on their individual status and any further procedure available. They should also monitor official university notifications as counselling progresses.

The development is particularly relevant to NRI families seeking MBBS and BDS admissions in Andhra Pradesh, where eligibility and document verification determine participation in the relevant Management Quota counselling process.
