In response to a surge in visitors to the Middle East’s inaugural stone temple, the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi has introduced a pre-registration booking system. This strategic move aims to improve organization and visitor experience while effectively managing the high volume of visitors, according to media reports.

The onset of the extended Eid Al Fitr holidays, coupled with the ongoing school break until April 14, alongside various Hindu festivals this week, has led to a notable increase in temple visitors. Thousands of devotees flocked to the temple on Tuesday to partake in the New Year festivals of Ugadi and Gudi Padwa, predominantly celebrated in southern and western Indian states.

Since its public opening, the Mandir has experienced a substantial daily influx of visitors, particularly families taking advantage of the school vacation period. With several major festivals like Baisakhi, Vishu, Tamil New Year, Bihu, Ramnavami, and Hanuman Jayanti scheduled in the next two weeks, the temple management has proactively taken measures to streamline the pre-registration booking process.
