Chhattisgarh to honour NRIs for their remarkable works

Last date for nomination is October 11

The Chhattisgarh government has decided to honour Non-Resident Indians who are from the state. Those who have done remarkable work outside the country by establishing themselves in social welfare, human resource development, art, literature or economic field, will be eligible for this honour.

In order to recognize, encourage and honor their contribution, the ‘Chhattisgarh Apravasi Bharatiya Samman’ has been established. Applications for this, is open till October 11.

According to information from the Department of Culture and Archeology, on the recommendation of the selection committee, a person selected by the committee set up by the government will be awarded two lakhs in cash and a citation. Entries for the nominations are invited through email.

 

In order to recognize, encourage and honor their contribution, the ‘Chhattisgarh Apravasi Bharatiya Samman’ has been established. Applications for this, is open till October 11

 

The following details are needed at the time of nomination: Name of the person to be nominated, full introduction and address, verifiable detailed information of the work done in the foreign country of the NRI, if any other honour has been received in the past, and its details.

In the event of selection, the person concerned should give a written consent that he is ready to receive the award.
