Global diaspora gears up for historic Ram Mandir Pran Pratista celebration

Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) around the world are eagerly preparing for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ayodhya on January 22, marking a historic moment of unity and faith. The Ram Mandir Pran Pratista NRI Organisation has orchestrated a remarkable global connection among NRIs for this auspicious event.

In Kenya, which hosts over 75 Hindu Mandirs, Anita Karambalkar expressed enthusiasm, stating, “There are ten major Hindu Mandirs in Nairobi, such as Santan Dharm Mandir and ISKCON, aiming to connect more than 80,000 Hindus.”

Russian scholars in Moscow following Sanatan Dharma, led by Dr. Rameshwar Singh, plan to initiate cultural events, including Sri Ram Katha at either the ISKCON Mandir or Gurudwara. Moscow’s Hindu population is estimated at 25,000.

In Ukraine, Suryamani shared plans for Bhajan and Hawan at the ISKCON Mandir in Kyiv, with over 20,000 Hindus expected to participate. Similarly, in Georgia, Sanjay Dua mentioned that 18,000 Hindus, mainly medical students, will engage in Langars and Hindu rituals at local Mandirs and Gurudwaras.

Thailand’s Ayutthaya will celebrate the historic event at Dev Mandir, Bangkok, with Susheel Kumar Saraff mentioning that Prasad from Ram Mandir will be distributed among devotees, emphasizing the connection between Ayutthaya and Ayodhya

Harmesh Singh, the president of the India Group team in Greece, announced a Havan at a Shiv Mandir, Kirtan in Gurudwaras, and food distribution. Ugandan Hindus, including Falguni Patel, Ramesh Babu, and Paresh Mehta, are actively preparing for Pran Pratishta at more than 35 Hindu Mandirs, accompanied by a bike rally and unique Ayodhya model presentation.

In Finland’s Helsinki, Abhishek Bhushan Agrawal shared that a small Hindu society, known for organizing Kirtan, is arranging Hindu rituals at local Hindu Mandirs.

Durban, South Africa, will witness a significant function on January 21, 2024, organized by Pradeep Ramlal, featuring a grand Havan dedicated to Sri Ram and potential helicopter arrangements to shower Vibuthi and flower petals.

In the Philippines, a live telecast of Pran Pratishtha will occur in a movie theatre in Manila. Various activities, including Virtual Pooja, charity drives, lighting landmarks, interfaith dialogues, and public lectures, will complement the celebration.

Myanmar, home to around two million individuals of Indian origin, is planning extensive events, as noted by Ravindra Jain, to showcase the diverse community’s contributions to the socio-cultural and economic fabric of the nation.

Lastly, Thailand’s Ayutthaya will celebrate the historic event at Dev Mandir, Bangkok, with Susheel Kumar Saraff mentioning that Prasad from Ram Mandir will be distributed among devotees, emphasizing the connection between Ayutthaya and Ayodhya.
