India, Honduras Discuss Stronger Ties During Ministerial Visit  

The visit underlines India’s continued outreach to countries in Central America and its focus on expanding diplomatic and economic partnerships across the region

Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita held a series of high-level meetings in Honduras aimed at boosting cooperation and strengthening relations between the two countries.

During his visit to the Honduran capital, Tegucigalpa, Margherita met Honduran Foreign Minister Mireya Aguero. The two leaders reviewed the progress made in bilateral ties and discussed ways to increase institutional cooperation in areas of shared interest.

After the meeting, Margherita said both sides had reaffirmed their commitment to expanding engagement and improving collaboration between India and Honduras. The discussions reflected the growing momentum in relations between the two nations.

Apart from official engagements, Margherita interacted with members of the Indian community and former participants of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme in Honduras. He praised their efforts in promoting closer people-to-people connections and supporting stronger relations between the two countries.

In a message shared on social media platform X, the minister appreciated the contribution of the Indian diaspora and ITEC alumni in enhancing friendship and cooperation between India and Honduras.
