Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s advisers have reached out to the Indian government, seeking the transfer of IPL assets to a separate entity.
They have estimated IPL at $30 billion. The larger interest of Saudi Arabia in IPL is to promote itself as a tourist destination to Indians, who also visited the country as part of the recent Tata IPL. India is expected to be the largest source of tourists for Saudi Arabia by 2030, according to Outlook.
