An Indian couple have faced deportation from the USA for selling home-made curries. The couple wanted to earn extra money and decided to sell home-made curries, reported mirchi9.com.

While these types of part-time businesses are generally considered harmless, however, if a jealous neighbour or if someone feels that the business is causing disturbance in the neighbourhood due to traffic, they may report it to authorities, leading to the revocation of H1 and H4 visas.

Although deportation news is yet to be verified, it circulated on social media quite a lot

In recent times, there have been instances where Indians have been deported for running such side businesses.

Under the visa regulations, individuals on H1 or H4 employment-based visas are not permitted to operate these types of businesses. Although mirchi9.com pointed out that it was unable to verify the authenticity of the deportation news, it was currently being spread rapidly on social media.
