Mukesh Ambani is the richest Indian in the Forbes India Rich List 2021

As per the Forbes magazine’s 100 richest Indians list, 14th year in a row since 2008, Mukesh Ambani added $4 billion to his net worth (which has now reached $92.7 billion) in 2021

With news coming in of Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani retaining the title of richest Indian in the Forbes India Rich List 2021, the billionaire businessman came on record to state at the three-day Qatar Economic Forum that by 2035, the company will try to touch zero-carbon emission levels. by 2035, chairman Mukesh Ambani said. Businesses, he felt, will need to transform in order to sustain.

Reliance Industries, meanwhile, on an acquisition spree, continued to soar with its retail arm buying nearly 41% stake in Just Dial Ltd for 34.97 billion rupees ($468.84 million), while in a stock exchange filing, the company recently declared that for trading in oil, petroleum and petrochemical products as well as agricultural commodities, it had formed a wholly owned subsidiary in United Arab Emirates.

As per the Forbes magazine’s 100 richest Indians list, 14th year in a row since 2008, Mukesh Ambani added $4 billion to his net worth (which has now reached $92.7 billion) in 2021.

Gautam Adani is a close second with a $74.8 billion that falls $17.9 billion short of the mark touched by Ambani.

The ten richest Indians are Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, Shiv Nadar, Radhakishan Damani, Cyrus Poonawalla, Lakshmi Mittal, Savitri Jindal, Uday Kotak, Pallonji Mistry, Kumar Birla

Industrialist Shiv Nadar, founder and chairman of HCL technologies, stood firm on the third spot in the tech sector having increased his wealth by $10.6 billion and his total net worth stood at $31 billion. Savitri Jindal, chairperson of OP Jindal group, featured on the list with $18 billion.

According to Forbes, there has been a rise of 50% in the wealth of India’s richest in the second year of the pandemic, with the total wealth coming to $775 billion.

The ten richest Indians are Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, Shiv Nadar, Radhakishan Damani, Cyrus Poonawalla, Lakshmi Mittal, Savitri Jindal, Uday Kotak, Pallonji Mistry, Kumar Birla.

It may be mentioned here, the world’s largest oil refining complex is operated by Reliance in Gujarat and it has invested $1 million in Reliance International Ltd.

Beefing up its online retail offerings with Just Dial, British toy retailer Hamleys, music streaming service Saavn, online furniture retailer Urban Ladder and e-pharmacy Netmeds are its other acquisitions in the last three years.
