The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has taken note of the malfunctioning of the eMigrate and has assured all concerned that Emigration Clearances (ECs) would be issued manually.

“It has been reported that eMigrate portal has not been functioning properly for the last few days. Due to this, Emigration Clearances (ECs) are not being processed on the portal. The Ministry is working with the service provider to urgently resolve the technical issues and restore the system back to normal,” an MEA press release said.

All registered Recruiting Agents (RAs) are being informed to contact their respective PoEs to obtain ECs manually. PoEs will also be processing all pending requests manually till eMigrate portal is restored

“In view of this unprecedented situation, all Protectors of Emigrant (PoEs) offices have been briefed on granting ECs manually. The PoEs will share the list of such emigrants with Bureau of Immigration (BOI) to facilitate the smooth boarding of migrant workers onto their designated flights,” the release said.

According to the release, all registered Recruiting Agents (RAs) are being informed to contact their respective PoEs to obtain ECs manually. PoEs will also be processing all pending requests manually till eMigrate portal is restored.
