Rajasthan woos NRIs, others to Invest in State

‘Invest in Rajasthan-2022’ summit at Expo 2020 Dubai

Dubai Expo 2020 has emerged as a global platform for businesses to explore, interact and convert contacts into business. Some Indian states are proactively participating in the Expo and exhorting the Pravasi community to invest.

Rajasthan, for example, organised a seven-day summit, ‘Invest in Rajasthan-2022’ at the Expo 2020 Dubai.

The Rajasthan week at the Expo began with the cultural fervour of the state at India Pavilion at Dubai Expo. The participants from Rajasthan are expecting immense investment opportunities in the state through the Expo, the Gulf News reported.

A ministerial delegation from Rajasthan is led by three ministers ‑‑ Shanti Dhariwal, Minister of UDH; Parsadi Lal Meena, Minister of Industries & Commerce; and Arjun Lal Bamaniya, State Minister of Industries & commerce, the report said.

 

The state is likely to have an investment to the tune of Rs37,828 crore in sectors like tourism, logistics, petrochemicals, agriculture & food processing, e-waste recycling, IT, real estate etc

 

Among the officials taking part in the ‘Invest in Rajasthan-2022’ are Dhiraj Srivastava, Commissioner of Rajasthan Foundation and Rajiv Arora, President of Federation of Rajasthan Exporters.

The delegation called the visit a success, as 17 Letters of Intent (LoI) and 24 Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) were signed on behalf of the government during the visit.

The state is likely to have an investment to the tune of Rs37,828 crore in sectors like tourism, logistics, petrochemicals, agriculture & food processing, e-waste recycling, IT, real estate etc. Moreover, the participation in the Expo 2020 Dubai has opened the doors for further investment opportunities for the state in the future, the Gulf News report said.
