More than 90 members turned up out of which only 76 donated blood
SALALAH (Oman)
Indian Social Club (ISC) Salalah in association with the Embassy of India Muscat and Sanskrit Wing organised a blood donation drive on April 19 to mark the holy month of Ramadan at Sultan Qaboos Hospital.
ISC Salalah President Rakesh Kumar Jha and General Secretary Dr Sandeep Ojha inaugurated blood donation along with social and welfare secretary of Sanskrit Wing.
The blood donation drive was organized as a matter of solidarity with the fasting people during the holy month of Ramadan
The blood donation drive evoked good response, as a large number of Indian community members turned up to donate blood a matter of solidarity with the fasting people during the holy month of Ramadan. More than 90 members turned up out of which only 76 donated blood due to shortage of time. The donors were happy to be part of the social cause.
The General Secretary proposed a vote of thanks to the donors, organizers, medical team of the Sultan Qaboos Hospital, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Social Development and Royal Oman Police for their assistance and supervision throughout the programme.
