In a significant show of solidarity, the Indian Minorities Foundation spearheaded the adoption of the “London Resolution” during the Namaste London: Resurgence of New India event at the House of Commons complex on December 14. This resolution signifies the commitment of the UK-based Indian diaspora to actively contribute to and champion the advancement of India.

The event, part of the broader initiative ‘Charting Goodwill: India’s Global Odyssey,’ showcased the launch of two impactful publications: ‘Igniting Collective Goodness: Mann Ki Baat@100’ chronicling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dialogues since October 2014, and ‘Heartfelt: The Legacy of Faith — Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sikhs’ by the NID Foundation. Attended by cross-party UK parliamentarians and diaspora leaders, the gathering underscored the vital role played by people of Indian origin in shaping global narratives.

Indian High Commissioner to the UK, Vikram Doraiswami, emphasized the pivotal role of the diaspora in India’s foreign policy, a sentiment echoed by Prime Minister Modi in his global strategy. Doraiswami reiterated the commitment to inclusivity and development, reaching every corner of India and fostering partnerships with the diaspora.

The event aligns with the overarching vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas,’ as highlighted by Vijay Goel of the Indo European Business Forum. Goel noted PM Modi’s global popularity, maintaining a remarkable 76% approval rating in the 2023 survey, indicating widespread acclaim not only within India but on an international scale.
