An IT professional from Jabalpur residing in London for the past 10 years wishing anonymity said, “I recently lost my job and this is painful because I have a family here to support. Everything happened so suddenly that I did not get any time to prepare myself for some other jobs. Now I have made up my mind to upskill myself in multiple domains and look for new opportunities.”

To help affected individuals and residents of Madhya Pradesh residing in London, a survey was conducted to find experts and train professionals in different domains ranging from climate research to data engineering.

  • Under the programme, mentors are training professionals in several areas including data science, artificial intelligence, web3, python with advanced libraries, cloud computing using AWS, DevOps and domains like payments, banking, climate research and finance

  • The members of the skill programs plan to extend the program to all the MP university graduates in the United Kingdom

Rohit Dixit, member of FOMP, United Kingdom chapter and a mentor of the skill refresh program in an email response to TOI said, “FOMP UK has launched a skill refresh program to support professionals impacted by recent layoffs. We are mentoring them and preparing for interviews. By this initiative we aim to help people of MP get better jobs and start their own businesses in the UK.”

Under the programme, mentors are training professionals in several areas including data science, artificial intelligence, web3, python with advanced libraries, cloud computing using AWS, DevOps and domains like payments, banking, climate research and finance. The members of the skill programs plan to extend the program to all the MP university graduates in the United Kingdom.
