US FLORIDA BUILDING COLLAPSE: Indian-American couple, one-year-old child still missing

Since the collapse of the building on Thursday, at least 9 have been reported dead and 150 are still missing.

 

An Indian-American family is still missing after the collapse of part of a 12-story residential building in the US state of Florida on Thursday. A total of 150 are still missing even as rescue operation is going on at the site of the incident.

 

The Indian-American family’s one-year-old child is also in the missing list.

 

Since the collapse of the building on Thursday, at least 9 have been reported dead and 150 are still missing.

The Indian Americans missing in the building collapse are identified as Vishal Patel, (42), his wife Bhavna (Patel), and one-year-old daughter Aishani Patel. Bhavna Patel is four months pregnant, according to a close relative of the missing family

The location of the ill-fated 12-story residential building is in Miami-Dade County in southeastern US state Florida.

Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said on Friday morning that three more people were found in the rubble overnight and 120 people are now accounted for.

Several from Latin America, including Colombia, Cuba, Chile, Paraguay, Puerto Rico and Argentina, are reported missing after the building collapse.

“The Indian Americans missing in the building collapse are identified as Vishal Patel, (42), his wife Bhavna (Patel), and one-year-old daughter Aishani Patel. Bhavna Patel is four months pregnant, according to a close relative of the missing family,” a report from CNN said.
