Prem Bhandari, a distinguished Indian community activist in the United States, applauds the recent initiative allowing members of the Indian diaspora worldwide to actively participate in the development of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Bhandari, who previously urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to facilitate such contributions, emphasizes the significant role the vast diaspora community can play in supporting the temple’s progress.

Highlighting the substantial number of over 3.5 crore Non-Resident Indians and Persons of Indian Origin globally, Bhandari underscores the enthusiasm within this community to contribute to the temple’s growth. Subsequently, provisions have been introduced on the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra website, enabling both Indian and non-Indian passport holders to make donations and contribute to the project.

  • Bhandari and the Overseas Friends of Ram Mandir organization have initiated outreach efforts to connect with the Indian diaspora globally, providing them with the necessary links to make voluntary donations directly to the temple

  • With the inauguration of the Ram Mandir approaching, Bhandari expresses profound joy, describing it as a dream come true and emphasizing the global significance of Ayodhya as the future capital of Hinduism

The website emphasizes that the Trust has secured registration under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) 2010, stating that “devotees holding Non-Indian Passport can now voluntarily contribute towards the objectives of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.” Commending this development, Bhandari, founder of the ‘Overseas Friends of Ram Mandir’ organization, urges the extensive Indian diaspora to actively participate in supporting the Trust.

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for making the diaspora a part of this historic event, Bhandari believes that the global Indian community, spanning 3.5 crores, now has an opportunity to contribute to the Pran Pratishtha ceremony scheduled for January 22 in Ayodhya. He views this occasion as a historic opportunity, enabling devotees worldwide to contribute any amount they deem fit for the special ceremony after a wait of 550 years.
