Authorities confirm the death of an Andhra Pradesh native in Texas; financial struggles may have played a role
A man from Gudivada city in Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district, Kolli Abhishek, was found dead in Princeton, Texas, a day after he went missing. Authorities suspect suicide as the cause of death, reported timesofindia.indiatimes.com.
Community Mourns the Loss
Abhishek was last seen on Saturday, after which local law enforcement and community members launched a search operation. His body was discovered the next day.
Married for just a year, Abhishek had been living with his wife in Phoenix before relocating to Princeton. His brother Aravind revealed that he had been unemployed for the past six months and was struggling with financial difficulties.
Fundraiser for Funeral Arrangements
To support funeral expenses and the transportation of his body to India, Aravind started a GoFundMe campaign, which raised over $18,000 within 10 hours.
“We want to honor his memory with dignity, without the shadow of financial worry hanging over us,” Aravind wrote in the campaign, thanking donors for their overwhelming support.
Telugu Community Extends Support
The Telugu community in the US has come forward to help Abhishek’s family, providing both financial assistance and emotional support. Local groups are actively coordinating arrangements to ensure a smooth repatriation process.
