Indian residents of Gulf Cooperation Council countries with valid resident cards are also eligible for visa on arrival. Passports must be valid for at least six months
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has assured Indian nationals in Gulf countries that there is no need to panic amid the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict. He said the Union government has made arrangements for their safe return to India through Muscat in Oman.
According to the minister, Indians stranded in Dubai, as well as those in Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, can travel by road to Oman and then fly to India from Muscat International Airport. The Indian Embassy in Muscat has issued an advisory explaining the process.

Travellers from Dubai must cover nearly 450 kilometres by road to reach Muscat

Those coming from other Gulf countries may need to travel up to 1,000 kilometres before boarding flights to India
Indian nationals must carry a valid visa to enter Oman. They can apply for an e-visa through authorised travel agents on the Royal Oman Police website. However, Indian passport holders with valid visas or residence permits for the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan or Schengen countries can obtain a visa on arrival in Oman for up to 14 days, provided they have a return ticket, confirmed hotel booking and health insurance.
Meanwhile, several Indians remain stranded due to cancelled flights. Among them is Kiran Kumar, a private employee from Telangana, who is currently staying in a Dubai hotel after his return flight was cancelled. Around 800 employees from his company are also awaiting further travel updates.
