Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin a six-day diplomatic tour on Friday, visiting the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Italy. The visit is aimed at strengthening India’s partnerships in trade, investment, energy, technology and defence amid changing global political and economic conditions.
The first stop on the tour will be the UAE, where PM Modi is scheduled to meet UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Discussions are expected to focus on energy cooperation, regional security and the ongoing conflict in West Asia. The two leaders are also likely to review trade and investment ties, with the UAE remaining one of India’s biggest trading partners. The welfare of the large Indian community living in the UAE will also be discussed.

Modi will then travel to the Netherlands, where he will meet King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima and Prime Minister Rob Jetten

In Sweden and Norway, the Prime Minister will focus on strengthening cooperation in green technology, artificial intelligence, climate action and investment. Modi will also attend the third India-Nordic Summit in Oslo alongside leaders from Nordic nations to discuss renewable energy, sustainability, defence and Arctic cooperation.
